History
A collaboration between these two French brands naturally takes the form of a chronograph, in reference to their common automobile passion.
CHAPAL has taken part in the adventures of aviation and motor racing all around the world during its 190 years of existence.
In the 1970s, Kelton belonging to Timex, began sponsoring Formula 1 racing with the legendary Brazilian driver Emerson Fittipaldi, who was world champion in 1972 and 1974.
A few decades later, CHAPAL and Kelton are proud to celebrate their past through this 1972 chronograph, named in tribute to this man and his achievement of the highest distinction a driver can attain.
A sports watch “par excellence”, this 1972 limited series adds the display of timed times to the current time reading.
The watch is assembled in France and is, to this day, the most accomplished model ever designed and produced by Kelton; as is its strap, handmade by the craftsmen of Maison CHAPAL.
