DEVOTION X CHAPAL

After a meeting in 2022, Maison CHAPAL has taken part in Catherine Baba’s project,
associating with her charity known as DEVOTION PARIS. 

DEVOTION PARIS is “an association that unites creative forces in fashion, art, film and music
to help advance cancer research and support by celebrating the healing journey through creativity and community.”  

Personally moved by this cause, Catherine Baba has surrounded herself with personalities from various worlds,
in order to raise funds for the association. 

The connection with CHAPAL came naturally: she found in the House a place of comfort and kindness.
It is through certain pieces, in particular the Driver Helmet,
that she said she regained her femininity and the courage to fight the disease.

A co-creation was therefore launched:
LEATHERETTES DEVOTION x CHAPAL,
a capsule collection with recipes donated to the DEVOTION PARIS association.

• Driver Helmet in gold glossy leather  
• Driver Helmet in silver glossy leather  
• Driver Helmet in pink glossy leather

The Jean-François Bardinon Showroom exhibits this collection along with personal works of art gathered by Catherine Baba:
each work is associated with a written letter, from the muse to the artist or from the artist to the muse.

This exhibition showcases artists from different eras and worlds.  

Among them: Issermann, Eric Johnson, Christian Lacroix, Antonio Lopez, Dustin Pittman, David Sims,
Michael Stipe, Hiroshi Tanabé, Mario Testino, Tony Viramontes, Tim Walker and Andy Warhol…

Muses include Marisa Berenson, Naomi Campbell, Betty Catroux, Susie Bick Cave,
Pat Cleveland, Marie France, Kate Moss, Paloma Picasso, Tilda Swinton, Corey Tippin…

Works celebrating love and art in all its forms…

In December was held the inauguration evening of the new LEATHERETTES collection,
where were invited fashion figures and friends of the House,
in the Showroom of the rue de Rivoli.
