HistoryConcorde
The Concorde jacket is part of the Friping Collection, reviving an iconic tanning process developed by the French Millau tanneries in the 1980s and quickly gained international recognition for its success.
This Friping sheepskin leather is distinguished by its deliberately crinkled appearance, characteristic of the aesthetic of that decade and widely popularized by the iconic Italian designer Roberto Cavalli.
Inspired by the spirit of the 1980s, this model features oversized volumes and exaggerated shoulders, contrasting with the usual more fitted style of the Maison’s collections.
This jacket was originally created as a unique piece by the CHAPAL workshops for Jean-François Bardinon, on the occasion of a trip to new York aboard the Concorde, travelling at Mach 2.02, to represent the family business.
