History
CHAPAL is renewing its collaboration with Kelton for a new limited edition of the Chronograph 1972 with two new graphical dials and four straps in “pop-rock” colors.
This new partnership is an ode to the 70s, so dear to the two French brands.
Kelton designed a more refined dial symbolizing two monochrome airplane roundels with the metal welds running in a star pattern.
This chronograph is powered by the ST 1901 caliber, heir to the legendary Venus 175, a hand-wound movement developed in Switzerland in the 1940s.
CHAPAL offers a remarkable squadron of two-tone “pop-rock” straps on glossy lacquered CHAPALAC leather. This leather plastification process was invented by CHAPAL and used on US Air Force jackets during World War II, then in the 1970s on bright colored rabbit skins.
The watch is assembled in France and is, to this day, the most accomplished model ever designed and produced by Kelton; as is its straps, handmade by the craftsmen of Maison CHAPAL.
