For 4 days, CHAPAL has flown to Florence for the 106th edition of the famous Pitti Uomo men’s fashion show.
At this annual event, the House enthusiastically shares its latest creations.
For this collection, the Chapalac is in the spotlight: an iconic jacket signed CHAPAL.
Back in 1968, the key year when Maison CHAPAL accompanied the Olympic Winter Games in Grenoble,
manufacturing the hostesses’ outfits.
At the same time, the Chapalac was created and became the jacket that inscribed motorsport in the image of the House.
Among its ambassadors: Jean-Pierre Beltoise, Henri Pescarolo and François Cevert,
emblematic Formula 1 drivers and loyal friends of Pierre Bardinon, seventh generation of the family.
With the 2024 Paris Olympics Games approaching,
Jean-François Bardinon, current President and Artistic Director,
pays tribute to this mythical jacket and decides to put it back on the scene.
The Chapalac is now reinterpreted with a whipcord lining sublimated with embroideries
reflecting the key elements of its history.
Made from lacquered leather, it comes in its original colors
– black, red, blue, yellow, orange –
with seventies influences.
Its contrasting stripes and inimitable hood ensure a unique look and a resolutely sporty style.
This retro jacket has the ability to cross generations and still dresses car or fashion enthusiasts.
