CHAMPAGNE SALON & CHAPAL

On June 9th, 2025, Jean-François Bardinon and CHAPAL welcomed the prestigious Champagne Maison Salon
to their luxurious Paris showroom as a tribute to the shared ancestry of the two French houses.

This exclusive cocktail party was more than just a tasting: it was a return to origins.
Long time before Aimé Salon revolutionized the world of champagne, he joined the company C&E Chapal Frères & Cie
at the beginning of the 20th century as a simple buyer of rabbit pelts.

His courage and tenacity led him to work closely with the management, eventually rising to the position of Purchasing Director and Board Member of the House, alongside Émile Chapal and Jean Bardinon, heir to the group.

A prominent Parisian socialite and fine food enthusiast, Jean Bardinon naturally grew close to Aimé Salon,
who quickly set up his own champagne house, alongside his job at Chapal.

These two ambitious and visionary men decided to propel this new champagne house
to the ranks of the most prestigious in the world.

To support this cause, Jean Bardinon opened the doors of Chez Maxim’s and the Club des Cent to Aimé Salon:
the exceptional quality of Champagne Salon began to resonate throughout Paris during the Roaring Twenties.

If the meeting of Aimé Salon and Jean Bardinon gave birth to this champagne, it took all the sensitivity and tenacity
of the following generations to preserve this delightful beverage.

In a world where information moves too fast, it is good to pause, glass in hand, and look back to understand one’s History.

All these dreams once lived here during unforgettable evenings where champagne flowed freely, at 244 rue de Rivoli.
